Overview

Micaela Quinn is an Associate at The ExCo Group, where she provides critical analytical and content support to advance the firm’s leadership advisory and assessment practices. In this role, she analyzes qualitative data and develops leadership insights into executive-level reports and presentations.

Career History 

Micaela Quinn previously served as Director of Grants and Federal Affairs within the Higher Education Practice at McAllister & Quinn. In that role, she partnered with small to mid-sized colleges and universities to identify, pursue, and secure federal and foundation funding aligned with institutional priorities. She worked collaboratively with campus leaders from the earliest stages of concept development through final submission, managing all aspects of the grant lifecycle to ensure competitive, high-quality proposals.

Her experience included working across major federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and the Health Resources and Services Administration, as well as foundation and state funding landscapes. She also contributed to the development and continuous website maintenance of the firm’s Grants Intelligence Service (GIS), an online resource library specifically curated for institutions of higher education. Micaela also took the lead on writing and contributing to blogs that help higher education leaders understand the shifting grant landscape and position their institutions for success.

Earlier in her tenure at McAllister & Quinn, Micaela served as a Research Analyst and Senior Research Analyst, providing strategic research and analytical support to advance clients’ funding strategies.

Personal

Micaela is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a degree in Business Administration and Spanish. She was a member of the Division III Women’s Lacrosse team and competed in the NCAA Tournament.
