Overview
Reyad Fezzani is an experienced C-suite executive and board member with a strong background in the renewable energy and technology investing sectors and a successful track record of scaling businesses and accelerating organizational impact. He has over 30 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, including CEO of BP Global Wind & Solar, and presently as Chairman, CEO, and Founder of Regenerate Power, a power development company with a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects. A global leader, Fezzani was born in Libya and has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, North Africa, and the U.S. He is fluent in both English and Arabic.
Career History
Fezzani currently serves on multiple boards, including Carbon Collect Limited as Vice Chair and Chair of Audit, Risk, and Investment Committee; Energy Finance Company LLC as Chairman & Managing Partner; TwingTec AG as Chairman of the Board; Alliance of Chief Executives as Director. He also serves as Advisory Board Member for the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) and is Chairman of the Board for the Bay Area Arabic School.
During his career at BP, Fezzani served as Chief Executive of BP Global Wind & Solar, and Chairman of Tata-BP Solar, and was involved successfully forming BP’s Renewable business, Global Wind and Solar as a stand-alone entity. Previously, he served as CEO of Aromatics & Acetyls, BP’s global Petro-chemicals manufacturing and marketing business, where he oversaw 20 globally distributed manufacturing plants and over $10B in annual revenue.
Prior to this role, Fezzani was Head of the Group Executive Office and a direct advisor to the BP Group Chief Executive as part of the Executive Committee, at the time when BP launched its Alternative and Renewables Energy business. Fezzani previously served as Vice President, Strategy & Planning, Refining & Marketing as a member of the Executive Committee of BP’s Refining & Marketing Division in London, and before that, served as Senior Vice President, US commercial marketing for BP Products North America Inc.
Fezzani previously served on the boards of Enki Technologies Inc., as Chairman; Tata BP-Solar as Chairman, Director, and Chair of the Remco board; Aniva Holdings, Inc., as Director and Member of the Board of Advisors. He served as President & Director on the boards of BP Solar Inc., and Long Island Solar Inc. Fezzani also served on the boards of OC Oerlikon Corporation AG, Beamreach Solar Inc., Qbotix, Inc., Repower Capital Inc., BP Chemicals Limited, and Netherlands Refining Company.
Personal
Fezzani holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology from Imperial College of Science & Technology, London. He is a Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the ICHEME, the Energy Institute, and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. He currently resides in California.
