Overview
Katie Mychalowych is a Senior Leadership Development Consultant at The ExCo Group. In her role, she regularly interfaces with key HR stakeholders as a thought partner in the creation and design of their overall leadership development strategies. She serves as a liaison and communication catalyst between our mentors and customers, ensuring critical customer information is integrated into coaching, and subsequently, feeds aggregate trends from our individual engagements into actionable macro themes for our customers. She is viewed as a right-hand to our customers and regularly helps shape their go-forward plans for creating an integrated approach to leadership development.
Career History
Before joining The ExCo Group, Katie worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Orion Talent. In this position, she partnered with Sales and Recruiting leaders to ensure maximum organizational health while accomplishing business objectives for remote and hybrid teams. Katie was responsible for managing various HR Programs, including the successful implementation of the company’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program. Additionally, she conducted research, designed, and facilitated first-of-its-kind leadership training and content. Katie’s extensive background also encompasses working in various capacities within the HR discipline across several industries.
Personal
Katie began her career as a U.S. Naval Flight Officer and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where she played NCAA D1 tennis and participated in a study abroad program in Alicante, Spain. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and holds a certification in project management.
In her leisure time, Katie enjoys practicing yoga and is a certified Power Yoga instructor. She has a passion for traveling and outdoor activities, and she currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband of nearly a decade.
